I need to write this down to clear my mind…
Important components of Icon Composer have been rewritten, so that now the various filters and transforms don’t reset to their default values between edits. In other words, if you scale an image to 0.50 of it’s original size, the scale slider will continue to show 0.50 until it’s changed again. It won’t go back to 1.00 when another filter/transform is selected. That goes for all the other sliders. So that begs the question, if actions are reversible, is there any need for undo/redo functionality?
Crop, cut and reset are different though. They are one-off actions.
All this ties in with the idea of having the ability to reorder actions. What actions might need reordering? Cut and crop don’t play well with shadow, bump, blur or twirl. In fact, all of the geometric transforms need to have an order. The colour adjustments can be made at any point. That includes alpha and false colour. Yes, there is definitely a distinction between colour and geometry. I think I only need to provide prioritisation for the geometry transforms/filters.
Right. Mind cleared. Back to work…
